HOW TO CALL THE POLICE WHEN YOU’RE OLD AND DON’T MOVE FAST ANYMORE.

George Phillips , an elderly man, from Meridian, Mississippi, was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he’d left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.

He phoned the police, who asked “Is someone in your house?”

He said “No,” but some people are breaking into my garden shed and stealing from me.

Then the police dispatcher said “All patrols are busy. You should lock your doors and an officer will be along when one is available.”

George said, “Okay.”

He hung up the phone and counted to 30, Then he phoned the police again.

“Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed. Well, you don’t have to worry about them now because I just shot them.” and he hung up.

Within five minutes, six Police Cars, a SWAT Team, a Helicopter, two Fire Trucks, a Paramedic, and an Ambulance showed up at the Phillips’ residence, and caught the burglars red-handed.

One of the Policemen said to George, “I thought you said that you’d shot them!”

George said, “I thought you said there was nobody available!”

This is a True Story, and the Moral is “Don’t Mess with Old People”

The number of Americans filing first- time claims for unemployment benefits fell last week to the lowest since January, a sign the labor market is deteriorating more slowly as the economy emerges from the recession.

Who are these people trying to kid? Let’s put this in simple terms. They are trying to say unemployment claims are dropping but in reality they aren’t. Why? Well because over half of America has done used up their benefits and are desperately looking for work but these numbers do not reflect this.

Say there are 100 people in America and 95 of them already filed for unemployment and now has used up their benefits. Well there are only 5 new applicants who filed , that shows a drop in people filing for unemployment of course but isn’t showing you the whole truth.
If these 95 people whose unemployment benefits has ran out would be extended and was able to file for more benefits they would and those numbers would rise.

Why does government lie to us and try to cover up the truth. Time to wake up America, our government must think we are stupid. Write your representatives and let them know you aren’t going to take all their lying no more.

You asked for change, well i have seen no change in government from any other administration except for just more cover ups and lies.

A vehicle at 15 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 800 gallons a year of
gasoline.

A vehicle at 25 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 480 gallons a year.

So, the average clunker transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption by
320 gallons/year.

They claim 700,000 vehicles – so that’s 224 million gallons/ year.

That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil.

5 million barrels of oil is about 1/4 of one day’s US consumption.

And, 5 million barrels of oil costs about $350 million dollars at $75/bbl.

So, we all contributed to spending *$3 billion* to save $350 million.

How good a deal was that?

They’ll probably do a great job with health care though!
